Kitty George is a Life Coach veteran, certified with IMP since 2009. Kitty specializes in life/work transitions, and reviewing your “storyline” as a means to enthusiastically opening the next chapter of your “Life Story”. She brings a high level of both personal and professional experience to her practice.
Forced to balance raising two young daughters on her own (whose father died of alcoholism) and providing sole financial support for her family… Kitty advanced her career in the corporate banking world from bank teller in 1977 to First Vice President and National Account Manager, running the builder division of a 17 state area for one of the largest mortgage bankers in the country, winning countless top production awards along the way. At the top of her game, rather than taking a large promotion to run the entire Builder Division with the potential of having to relocate, she retired in 2002 to spend more time with her growing family, and assist her new husband in expanding his business. She also knew that there was something else that she needed to be doing with her life and experiences. A second career called to her.
Kitty would describe her coaching practice in four simple words: “Be a Better Listener”. Easy enough to say, but many times difficult to do. She strongly believes that we need to excavate and rely on our unique and inherent strengths and competences; and that we have a divine inner guidance system that magically lights our path forward if we slow down enough to hear the small still voice…
When not chasing her family around the globe (her sister teaches school in Cairo, and youngest daughter’s family are missionaries in South America) Kitty volunteers with the mentoring program at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado, and has enjoyed coaching the “Gutsy Girls” program for high school and college age women, at her local church.
Kitty currently lives in Vail, Colorado surrounded by the splendor and majesty of the Rocky Mountains (a wonderful place to be a better listener to her own inner voice). In her leisure she loves hiking and horseback riding into the backcountry, skiing and snowshoeing. But her best love is long walks with her yellow Labrador, Otto.
